The cherries are grown at high elevations of 1,800 – 1,900 MASL on hillsides tucked deep in the countryside where the Rift Valley meets the Bale Mountains. Thousands of small farmers bring their ripe cherry to the central washing stations where the coffee is pulped and washed the same day.
