Costa Rica Tarrazú Natural


About the Coffee
This coffee comes from the San Diego Mill in the Tarrazú region of Costa Rica, one of the most modern mills in the country. Founded in 1888, this mill has been consistently evolving and working closely with the surrounding producers to ensure quality and good pay. This coffee was processed as a natural, with the cherries laid out to dry with all that good fruit still intact, producing a juicy, vibrant cup. The varieties that make up this lot of coffee are caturra and catuai, two varieties that were brought to Central America from Brazil in the early 1900's and now make up much of the coffee grown there. Catuai is known for its fruity and complex profile, and caturra for its compact size while still having the capability of producing high yields.
