The Sara Ate cooperative is located in the Takengon region of Sumatra on the very northern tip of the Island. The coffee is washed using the wet hulled method that is common in Sumatra because of the unpredictable rainy weather that allows for less open air drying time. It is then dried on raised beds when possible to get the moisture content to a stable level, bagged up, and exported. •
