About the Coffee
This new offering from Sumatra comes from the GARMINDO cooperative, located in the Aceh region of Sumatra. This specific coffee lot is made up of only women-grown coffees that have been separated out from the rest of the cooperative's coffees. Highlighting women grown coffee from here is a great way to give back to some of these women who have been, like in a lot of places, running a large part of the show from behind the scenes. On top of that, a gender-equity premium was paid directly to these producers. The coffee itself is a traditional wet hulled processed coffee, very similar in profile to what we've been roasting over the past years. As usual, we have medium and darker roasts available!
