About the Coffee
This coffee comes from Guatemala's famous coffee growing region, Huehuetenango. This region has mountains packed full of volcanic soil, high elevations that keep coffee plants cool at night and warm during the day, and this area receives plenty of rainfall during the growing months that combined, produces top notch coffees. The ASOPCE cooperative, or La Asociación de Productores de Café Especial de Huehuetenango, was founded in 2015 by growers with the goal of producing high quality organic and conventional coffees. Today the cooperative has 450 members that all hold organic certifications, and 30% of the cooperative is made up of women growers! This coffee is fully washed and grown between elevations of 1,500 - 2,000 MASL.
