About the Coffee
This fully washed and organic certified coffee comes from the Acatenango region of Guatemala – a highly renowned area for coffee production in Guatemala. La Hermosa is the name of the farm of fourth generation family farmer Max Perez. Max grew up on coffee plantations and in 2010 started La Hermosa with the vision of blending tradition with innovation, and to produce coffee with 100% organic processes while having a positive impact in his community. The farm is located high up on the slopes of the Acatenango volcano between 1,900 and 2,000 MASL. The volcanic soil here is rich in nutrients and with a high amount of rainfall this area is the perfect microclimate for coffee production.
