Guatemala Sierra Madre

This fully washed coffee comes from the mountainous region right outside of the department of San Marcos in Guatemala. This specific blend of lots comes from 15 separate small farmers that group their coffee together to increase yields, and to work towards further raising their quality. The coffee is shade grown among avocados and ingas, which are small tropical nitrogen-fixing trees and shrubs that are widely used as shade producing plants for coffee. It is grown at a elevation of between 1800 and 1900 MASL and is mostly a blend of caturra and bourbon.
