Bay View Cafe

The first seven years of Anodyne were spent on the east side of Milwaukee, roasting coffee five kilos at a time in the corner of the Brady Street cafe. Around 2006 we closed up shop on Brady Street and moved roasting operations to Bay View where it stayed in the back of the cafe for around seven years until our Walker's Point Roastery opened. To fill the void left by the roaster we transitioned to pizza – which was active for nearly 11 years! Not a bad run for a tiny restaurant inside a cafe. While we no longer serve pizza, our cafe on Kinnickinnic will always be a place for the Bay View community to come together and enjoy a great cup of coffee.
