On top of being excellent at processing coffee, the Sigri Estate runs social programs that benefit all coffee pickers that work for the estate. They provide free housing for pickers, as well as operate a school for the children. They offer free healthcare as well as offer AIDS education programs and free testing. The Sigri Estate is one of the main employers and economic contributors for this entire region in Papua New Guinea. We are very pleased to have such a close connection with a producer on the other side of the world! The coffee itself is fully washed, and it goes through a very strict processing method. Ripe cherries are picked, soaked and fermented, processed, hulled and graded mechanically, followed by one last hand grading process. The results are clear and this one's a winner!
